The internationally renowned Feng Shui Grand-Master Dr. Jes T.Y. Lim knows how to dynamically communicate taoistic knowledge to the western culture in an unique way. He provides a new insight into the spirit and energy, inherent in all shapes and forms, and teaches how to, consciously and accordingly to one's own focus, have a positive influence on one's environment via Feng Shui. Dr. Lim explains: "My biggest concern is to bring these simple but very effective words of wisdom - on how to design life in a healthy and harmonic way - into a world that is gradually becoming more complicated and unbalanced. More and more people nowadays feel swamped by their everyday life. By means of conscious decisions on the most appropriate remedies and changes inside our home or office and outside environment, we can find our inner harmony, health, and full strength."
Dr. Lim was born in a Chinese merchants family in Malaysia / North Borneo. From childhood on, he was taught the taoistic knowledge. He was tutored by overall 26 teachers and masters and was the main student of the monk Lee Fah Sir.
In London he studied 'International Business Administration and Organization', and was also a member of the Britisch Institute of Management and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (U.K.).
For twenty-five years he successfully consulted well-known Asian corporations as General Manager and Business Consultant, such as: Inchcape Group (Singapore / Malaysia), Darby Group (Asia) and Fletcher Challenge Group (Australia). He was able to help many companies to gain a new dynamic and consistent success by applying his broad understanding for Business Feng Shui.
Dr. Jes Lim has undertaken acupuncture training from Professor Han Jin in China and Singapore and obtained his doctor qualification in acupuncture in 1985. He is a teaching professor for acupuncture at the Medicina Alternativa and the Open International University for Complementary Medicine/ WHO/UNO.
Through his work in several Asian developing countries, he was able to gain a broad knowledge of preventive medicine and self-help.
In 1990 he founded the Qi-Mag International Institute in Sri Lanka. Since then, he teaches his knowledge in many countries worldwide. About 2.000 of his over 30.000 students are fully qualified Qi-Mag Consultants. The biggest international consulting team on the Feng Shui-Market belongs to the Qi-Mag Institute. This way, Dr. Lim is actively supporting Feng Shui to gradually find its place in the western society. Nowadays, even leading commercial enterprises and top business managers are taking advantage of this knowledge in order to generate consistent success.
In the international corporate sector, Dr. Lim and his senior consultants have given advice to many multi-national companies and large European companies to design and construct headquarters and important office buildings according to classical and modern building Feng Shui and Tao Spiritual Geomancy techniques. In this way ensuring that these buildings support the goals and visions of the companies and enhance their profitability.
Qi-Mag means Qi (vital energy) and Mag (magnetism), so attracting vital energy and consequently health, fortune, and success.
Dr. Jes T.Y. Lim explains in the following text how he found his way to Feng Shui and Energy:
Like me, the sons of Chinese families traditionally used to be sent to Feng Shui-masters and to also be taught in Wu Shu at a very early age. We did all go to the normal schools, but in fact we could learn much more from the taoistic wise men and from life on the street – true wisdom of life!
Many days we had to fulfill the art of Feng Shui & Measurement by carrying our masters' heavy bags, endure tough verbal abuse, practise the discipline of patience and humbleness, until they finally shared one ore two sentences of their wisdom with us. In old China, this taoistic knowledge was strongly respected and everybody had to prove much maturity and effort in order to deserve to learn about it.
In this way we were, from childhood on, taught about the energetic relations of concentration, breath, focus, tension, relaxation as well as form, colour, element, and taste. We grew up with a world view that was rather metaphysical than statical. When I came to the western world the first time, I was deeply astonished how poeple here just ignore the laws of energy and e.g. build constructions that, seen from a Feng Shui point of view, can only cause problems. It is a challenge for me to find a new interpretation of the old knowledge for the western world and to structure it into an applicable effective method. After all, we cannot tear down existing buildings and put new walls into living rooms etc.! Thanks to my masters who taught me the laws of energy in great depth – principles, that are applicable to every shape and construction, once they are understood.
I am deeply convinced that a healthy environment is as essential for the well-being of man as a healthy body. Otherwise a 'vampire-effect' is created – an energetically weak environment will automatically draw energy from the human body. Over the last decades, I was able to learn and experiment a lot, doing hundreds of Feng Shui consultations on challenging buildings. In addition, the Qi-Mag Feng Shui was largely enriched by the many experiences and the exchange with my students which developed it to what it is today.
In my teachings of the Qi-Mag Feng Shui, I try to build on the classical Feng Shui teachings, but to also extend and adapt it in terms of a basic energetic understanding, where new situations like electric smog and glas constructions arise. The taoistic teachings advise to always stay flexible, as an old bamboo can break easily.
Why Feng Shui works? Can results be scientifically proved? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Feng Shui has been practised at different levels in China for over 5000 years by the imperial courts, officials, rich and educated families. Chinese are a very practical people - so unless practices had given good results, Chinese would have no longer followed them.
The core value of Feng Shui and Tao Geomancy practice is about the quality of air with high oxygen and vital positive energy in a house/building that can support human harmony and peak performance.
Many of the Feng Shui rules and practices have also become common practices throughout the world. We found that many rich and successful individuals and companies are so successful because they intuitively apply some good Feng Shui principles. One important rule on the placement of a home or building, for instance: a building should have its front door facing water features like a lake, calm sea, man-made water fountains and waterfalls, or facing a big open space like a square or park. Everybody knows that having water features or big open space in front of homes and offices will ensure that large quantities of ionized fresh air will enter the door, with quantum of electrons as the result of the frictions, interactions and movements of water that vitalize the air and improve human's and animal's vitality and harmony.
High quantities of ionized air are especially important for modern offices with high levels of electromagnetic radiation from modern equipment. With a well educated knowledge of Qi-Mag Feng Shui principles, Qi-Mag Feng Shui consultants can provide the most accurate location to place a water feature that can give optimum benefits or to locate a front door that can attract lots of customers. Effectiveness of Feng Shui practice can often be quantified in percentage of success or avoidance of job loss or business failure.
We found that many companies are not performing well because their employees are severely affected by poor air quality with high concentration of electro-smog from equipment. Many employees are often suffering from burn-out through electromagnetic radiation. Many businesses have failed because their main door was located in the wrong direction. In a building also earth frequencies caused by past human, animal, and plant metamorphosis significantly affect the emotional, mental balance and vitality of occupants/employees.
The positive effects of implemented remedies of Qi-Mag Feng Shui can be proven with modern scientific methods and equipment.
May my work contribute to more and more people to be able to live in a healthy and beneficial environment.
Dr. Jes T.Y. Lim explains in the following text, how he found his way to geomancy:
My grandfather was a very wealthy business man who owned a big armada. He used to deal with cattle all across Asia. When my family lost everything in the war and had to escape to Malaysia, my father was searching for a suitable place to begin a new life with his family. He had the following criterias:
Firstly, a view on the ocean, to be able to receive all goods and opportunities that are wanting to come along, and secondly a good backing by the village. This was the way we began our new life, and this was also the way my sensitivity was formed for the importance of the energies in our landscape.
Tao Spiritual Feng Shui practices were commonly carried out by experienced Tao masters in homes, official residences, palaces and villages where people experienced unexplained sicknesses, deaths, depressions and mental disorders. Spiritual Feng Shui which is the highest level of Feng Shui practice, nowadays is not so often practiced, as few modern Feng Shui consultants and masters have the in-depth spiritual knowledge to do this work.
In Taoist spiritual Feng Shui, practitioners recognize the existence of nature's spirits and nature's consciousness that have their own intelligence. We humans through transmission and activation from masters can effectively communicate with these spirits. Living beings (humans, animals, plants, etc.) and non-living things in nature through hundreds and thousands of years of processes and evolution in their landscape environment have formed their own unique consciousness which since ancient times has been given different names like "land spirits", "mountain spirits", "river spirits", "deva", "gaia", according to the spiritual sensitivity and spiritual development of the individuals who feel or "see" these consciousnesses. Ideally, humans and animals should co-exist harmoniously with these invisible spirits in our living environment. Often, due to earth geopathic stress like fault lines and vortexes, nature's environmental consciousness becomes disturbed and in turbulence and becomes very negative to humans and animals. These disharmonious turbulences have to be harmonized with special spiritual rituals.
Past humans' negative activities like wars, killings, curses, and graves have created negative metamorphosis frequencies under our homes and offices that often cause lots of emotional, mental, and physical problems, affecting health and performance of humans. Special techniques are applied to cleanse these negative frequencies as deep as 100 meters into the ground to release the anchored memories and to restore land and ground to nature's state.
Traditionally, we Asians always collect information about a house or building, before moving in, to find out if it used to be a place of luck, fortune, and peace or rather a place of conflicts and disease. In case it can not be avoided to move into an 'unfortunate' place, we get in touch with a taoistic master. They clear the energies and cleanse the space in order to avoid any misfortune.
In case of a disease or death, we carry out particular purification rituals afterwards. There is a rich tradition of taoistic geomancy. Our wise men have perfected this art to true mastership. They put great emphasis on living in harmony with nature and the environment and on using them as a source of strength, joy, and inspiration. Nature offers many places of spiritual energy that have the power to rejuvenate and inspire us. In those places the wise men built temples and caves of meditation.
I am astonished how the western world – and even modern China – insists to ignore or even deny the energetic influences of the environment and the old memories that are preserved in buildings and places. In my view, their negative impact on our personal well-being is greatly underestimated. In the event of somebody sleeping on top of an interference field or an underground water course for a long period of time, I experienced that neither a doctor nor superficial Feng Shui can help. In cases as such, the knowledge of Tao Geomancy is needed.
It is very noticeable how a place respires, once it is acknowledged and supported to return to it's positive original state, working with love and energy. How we humans have trampled on our earth for generations, with our wars, quarrels, and pollution, while it is she who carries us and is in need of our love and attention.
I like to share my knowledge of earth-healing by Tao Geomancy with my students, because it is a particularly important aspect of my work to create a good environment for human beeings.
I have designed three Tao Earth Geomancy courses from Tao 1 to Tao 3. Students learn to identify from up to 300 natural and human-caused stressful frequencies that are anchored on the land under houses or offices and in gardens that have negative effects on humans' health and their emotional harmony. Remedies and techniques are applied to harmonize and protect humans using the building space. more...
